Why Flower Walls Are Worth the Hype
In Tauranga, Papamoa, Mount Maunganui and Te Puke, we see flower walls used most often as wedding ceremony backdrops, but they can also make a striking entrance, a beautiful background to the bridal table, or a unique photo display for guests. The florists at Arrange Floral Design have to admit that we are besotted with this new floristry trend!
What Exactly Are Flower Walls?
Simply put, flower walls are verticle installations made of flowers. That’s about as strict as the definition gets: you can create anything from a huge wall chocker with blooms to a small display with spaced out rows of stringed flowers. Either way, a wall of fresh flowers creates a real focal point and a beautiful background.
Why we Love Them:
The Wow Factor
First and foremost, we love flower walls for a wedding or special event because they are simply gorgeous. Whether you go for an entire wall of flowers or spread out fresh flowers among plenty of moss and greenery, you’ll be making a statement. We would put good money on the fact that your guests will leave your wedding talking about the fabulous flower wall!
Something Unique
Weddings are becoming less traditional and we see a lot of brides these days wanting to put their own unique touch on their special day. This could mean a non-white dress, a food truck instead of formal catering, or a unique floral arrangement. Flower walls are spectacular, but not often chosen by couples for their wedding flowers, so incorporating one into your big day will definitely make you stand out from the pack.
A Floristry Challenge!
We admit it, this reason for loving the flower wall is a little selfish, but as your florist, we love the challenge of building you the perfect flower wall. Bouquets and flower delivery are our bread and butter, and we love them, but a new floristry challenge really keeps us on our toes and stretches our floristry muscles! Flower walls are quite the undertaking and we often have our flowers delivered to the venue and set up the arrangement on site.
